In a keynote address delivered India-Armenia Dialogue, Lara Setrakian, President, APRI Armenia, emphasized the enduring friendship between Armenia and India, highlighting their shared vision for a stable and prosperous world.

"At this critical global moment, Armenia has been a steady and reliable friend to India in its extended neighborhood," Setrakian stated. "We are on the same team in a complex, multipolar world."

Acknowledging Armenia's steadfast support for India on crucial issues such as Jammu and Kashmir, Setrakian underscored the importance of aligning foreign policy visions based on the values of peace and prosperity for all countries. "Armenia sees India as a reliable, long-term partner in contrast to a fluctuating and sometimes unpredictable collective West," she added.

Setrakian emphasized the deep-rooted historical ties between Armenia and India, describing it as a "centuries-old civilizational relationship" that looks toward the future. "It is brotherly and sisterly in tone. It is Vasudeva Kutumbakon," she remarked, expressing a sense of belonging and kinship whenever in India.

Highlighting Armenia's pivotal role as a platform connecting India to the Eurasian Economic Union, Setrakian pointed out the mutual commitment to initiatives like the international north-south transport corridor. She noted Armenia's potential as a lucrative market for Indian businesses, particularly in high-growth sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, IT, and infrastructure.

"Armenia is a high-tech development hub, offering opportunities for collaboration in AI, chip design, semiconductors, and other niche areas," Setrakian stated. "This partnership is not just about economics; it's a people-to-people relationship aimed at co-creating a future of shared solutions and supporting the people of India and Armenia to reach their highest potential."

As discussions unfolded, attendees echoed Setrakian's sentiments, recognizing the significance of fostering closer ties between Armenia and India in navigating the complexities of today's world. With shared values and mutual interests at stake, both nations are poised to embark on a journey of collaboration and growth, paving the way for a more interconnected and prosperous future.
