7,573 obtain health insurance policies for 5 months in Kyrgyzstan

According to the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund, 7,573 people in Kyrgyzstan have obtained health insurance policies for the first five months of 2023.
The purchase of health insurance policies generated 13.755 million soms.
In the first five months of 2022, 2,473 people obtained health insurance policies worth 4.505 million soms.
Since April 2023, Kyrgyzstan has made it mandatory for all foreign citizens and students to obtain health insurance.
Kyrgyz citizens can obtain health insurance for 1,722 soms. Foreign citizens and students will pay 16,591 soms per year or 8,196 soms per semester.
Nationals of Eurasian Economic Union member states have the same rights as Kyrgyz citizens and can obtain health insurance for 1,722 soms.
