Adani Healthcare has appointed Himanshu Bhardwaj as its Chief Information Officer (CIO) as the organisation expands its healthcare infrastructure and digital capabilities.
In his new role, Bhardwaj will oversee the company’s information technology strategy, digital systems and technology initiatives, supporting the group’s broader efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery through technology-driven solutions.
The appointment comes as healthcare providers increasingly focus on digital transformation, data management and technology-enabled clinical workflows to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
Nearly three decades of experience in healthcare IT
Bhardwaj brings more than 28 years of experience in information technology and healthcare operations, with expertise spanning digital transformation, enterprise systems and large-scale IT programme management.
Before joining Adani Healthcare, he served as Head of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and IT Applications at Medanta Hospitals, where he played a key role in supporting the organisation’s expansion from a single flagship hospital into a broader healthcare network.
During his tenure at Medanta, he worked closely with clinical and technology teams to implement digital initiatives aimed at improving patient care workflows, operational efficiency and healthcare data management systems.
Leadership roles across technology companies
Over the course of his career, Bhardwaj has held senior positions at several technology companies, including Polaris, Virtusa and Intellect, where he worked across product management, programme leadership, business analysis and database administration.
He has also led geographically distributed teams and managed complex enterprise technology projects involving high-volume transaction systems and large-scale digital transformation programmes.
Supporting Adani Healthcare’s digital expansion
At Adani Healthcare, Bhardwaj is expected to focus on strengthening the organisation’s technology infrastructure and digital health capabilities as it continues to build healthcare services and hospital networks.
