Anahit Avanesyan receives the newly appointed Ambassador of Latvia to Armenia

Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Health, received Edite Medne, Latvian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia (residence: Tbilisi), and Armen Ghasaboghlyan, Armenian Honorary Consul in the Republic of Latvia.
Speaking about the reforms implemented in Armenia's health-care system, the minister presented a comprehensive health-care package that included insurance, electronic health care, and the medical personnel licencing process, among other things.
The departments of the two countries reached an agreement to deepen and revitalise their cooperation. Mutual visits and specialist trainings will take place.
Given Latvia's experience in pharmaceutical production, it was suggested that the two countries expand their cooperation in this area as well.
