Kazakhstan hosted a meeting of the CIS member states' Interstate Commission for Cooperation with the World Health Organisation (WHO). According to the CIS Executive Committee's press service, the agenda of the event included topics such as the organisation of primary health care, the exchange of information between relevant departments, and the strengthening of cooperation with international organisations.
"At the meeting, Kazakhstan representatives shared their experiences with international cooperation." They stated that the republic would host the first WHO demonstration platform on primary health care in the European Region in 2022".
Participants at the meeting agreed that the exchange of information between the health ministries of the CIS member states on topical health issues of mutual interest is important and relevant. It was also determined that interaction with WHO collaborating centres located at the Commonwealth site was required.
