Fortis Healthcare has launched four specialised clinics across its hospital network in Bengaluru to address sensitive and often under-discussed health conditions, including men’s health disorders, urinary incontinence and women’s intimate health concerns.
The newly introduced facilities — Man Clinic, Incontinence Clinic, Restorative Gynaecology Clinic, and Mobile Lithotripsy Services — are designed to provide focused, patient-centric care using advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive treatments and multidisciplinary clinical expertise.
The clinics were inaugurated in Bengaluru on March 11, 2026, by Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, Karnataka’s Minister for Medical Education, in the presence of senior doctors, hospital leadership and around 150 attendees.
Dedicated Clinics to Address Sensitive Health Conditions
According to Fortis Healthcare, the initiative aims to encourage patients to seek treatment for conditions that often remain untreated due to stigma, social hesitation or lack of awareness.
The Man Clinic will focus on men’s health issues such as sexual wellness, prostate disorders, infertility, hormonal imbalances and lifestyle-related conditions, offering multidisciplinary care with a strong emphasis on privacy and personalised treatment.
Meanwhile, the Incontinence Clinic will provide specialised care for urinary and bowel incontinence affecting patients across genders and age groups. The clinic will integrate expertise from urology, gynaecology and physiotherapy to deliver advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive treatment options.
The Restorative Gynaecology Clinic is dedicated to women’s intimate and functional health concerns, providing evidence-based treatment through discreet clinical protocols and specialised care pathways.
In addition, the hospital group has introduced Mobile Lithotripsy Services, a technologically advanced and minimally invasive approach for treating kidney stones that can help reduce hospital stays and improve patient outcomes.
Breaking Stigma Around Under-Discussed Medical Issues
Speaking at the launch event, Karnataka Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil emphasised the importance of addressing sensitive health issues with openness and dignity.
“Healthcare must evolve not only in terms of technology but also in its ability to address sensitive and under-discussed health concerns with dignity and openness,” he said.
Patil added that initiatives such as specialised clinics can help break stigma and encourage people to seek timely medical consultation.
Experts Stress Need for Early Treatment
Medical experts highlighted that many conditions addressed by the new clinics are more common than widely acknowledged but often remain untreated because patients hesitate to discuss them.
Dr. Mohan Keshavamurthy, Principal Director – Renal Sciences at Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, noted that issues such as male sexual health disorders, incontinence and kidney stones frequently go untreated due to social hesitation.
“Conditions such as male sexual health issues, incontinence and kidney stones are far more common than acknowledged, yet social hesitation often delays treatment,” he said.
He added that the specialised clinics aim to normalise conversations around these conditions while providing advanced and minimally invasive treatment options.
Strengthening Patient-Centric Healthcare
Hospital leadership said the initiative reflects Fortis Healthcare’s broader focus on specialised and patient-centric healthcare delivery.
Dr. Ananth Rao, Vice President and Business Head of Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, said the new facilities combine advanced medical technologies with multidisciplinary expertise and clinical pathways designed to prioritise patient privacy, comfort and dignity.
With the launch of these clinics, Fortis aims to expand access to specialised healthcare services and encourage more open dialogue around medical conditions that often remain hidden due to social stigma.
