As of April 1, there are 7,672 individuals officially registered with drug addiction in Kyrgyzstan. Among them, 442 are women and 7,230 are men.

The Republican Center for Psychiatry and Addictions, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has launched a national campaign titled "Save Lives. Share Facts about Drugs." The campaign will encompass various preventive events, including a quiz night called "Share Facts about Drugs."

The campaign will feature activities such as rapid HIV testing and discussions on prevention methods. These discussions will cover programs like maintenance therapy and pre-exposure prophylaxis.

The primary objective of this year's campaign is to raise awareness about the significance of treating people who use drugs with respect and empathy. By promoting language and attitudes that are non-judgmental and respectful, the campaign aims to combat stigma and discrimination against individuals with drug addiction.
