Minister of Health of Armenia meets head of the Geneva office of the International Atomic Energy Agency

Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Health, met with Miin Singeli, Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Geneva Office.
The parties referred to numerous programmes carried out with the IAEA's support and cooperation, as a result of which the effectiveness of radiation treatment and the availability of new approaches in Armenia have significantly improved, and nuclear medicine services have begun to develop.
Steps to establish an educational centre in Armenia for the training and continuous professional development of radiation oncology specialists within the framework of international programmes in collaboration with the IAEA were also discussed during the meeting.
