Putin proposes that the EAEU and CIS countries consider implementing common educational standards

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposes thinking about introducing common principles and standards of education in EAEU and CIS countries during a meeting with the leaders of the CIS and EAEU delegations.
Putin invited representatives from the CIS and EAEU countries to consider the implementation of common educational principles and standards, the coordination of scientific programmes, the unification of professional requirements, and the development of uniform textbooks for technical and other subjects.
"Let me emphasise that this does not imply that we should return to the Soviet educational system with you." We simply need to build on the foundations of our education system while looking forward, moving forward, taking the best in the world and creating our own," he said.
