The Russian Federation's government will soon approve the project plan for the "Russian Scientific and Technological Platform for Rapid Response to Infectious Diseases." It also states that by 2030, the country will have developed 14 vaccines and 15 drugs for the treatment and prevention of serious infectious diseases.

"The government is completing work on approving the most important innovative project of national importance. This project is being developed on behalf of the President, and the order is expected to be signed in the near future," Russian Federation Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said at the Federation Council plenary session on April 12.

She also announced the development of a roadmap for import substitution in the areas of drug supply and medical equipment manufacturing.
