In a significant market development, Docon Technologies Pvt Ltd, the promoter entity of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd, has sold about 10% of its stake in the diagnostics company for approximately 667.7 crore.

As per data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Docon offloaded nearly 53.32 lakh shares — representing 10.06% of Thyrocare’s paid-up equity — at an average price of 1,252.03 per share. The move reduces Docon’s holding in Thyrocare from roughly 71.06% to 60.93%.

The stake sale attracted strong participation from major institutional investors. Mutual funds such as ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, and Eastspring Investments collectively acquired around 42.11 lakh shares, accounting for approximately 7.95% of the company’s equity, for a total value of about 527.23 crore.

Following the transaction, Thyrocare’s shares closed 1.99% higher at 1,269.70 on the NSE, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s fundamentals.
