Dr Shuchin Bajaj, Founder-Director of Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services, has been appointed to the board of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), a key arm of the Quality Council of India.
The appointment marks a significant step for NABH, which is looking to strengthen its mission of improving healthcare quality and patient safety across the country. Dr Bajaj’s extensive experience in expanding accessible healthcare to underserved regions is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping policies and benchmarks for hospitals nationwide.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr Bajaj said the role is “a profound honour and responsibility,” reaffirming his commitment to building a healthcare ecosystem where quality treatment is equitable and within reach for all citizens.
An internationally recognised social entrepreneur, Dr Bajaj was named Global Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 by the Schwab Foundation in partnership with the World Economic Forum for his contributions to inclusive and sustainable healthcare models.
